Expectations
Here are some things that we expect from our volunteers:
Training - All Peer Coaches and presenters must attend online training to learn the core foundation on the six tenants of StandFast Alliance. We utilized a holistic approach to health and well being to include teaching modules on: nutrition, exercise, sleep, social support, mental fitness, and emotional fitness. During training, you will learn and be quizzed on these training modules. There will also be modules for effective coaching skills. Once training is complete, you'll receive a certification and then be able to teach and work with people one on one.
Presentations - Have the ability to teach 4 workshops / presentations to the first responder or military community per year.
Individual Coaching Sessions - We hope you can commit to coaching 4 people per year.
Community Events - We hope you can attend 2 functions to promote StandFast Alliance per year (virtual or in person depending on your location).
Meetings - It’s important to hear what’s going on at the mothership. We offer quarterly updates via video conference and hope you can tune it to see what’s going on to hear the latest and greatest.
